You will get 3, 4 and 5 form emails that are auto generated that the team has your email but you will literally never hear from Overtone itself to rectify any issues that may occur.
I wanted to love Overtone. I originally purchased the rose gold for blonde hair as I was growing out bleached blonde to my natural brown. The color was great for the first few days but faded really quickly, even without washing my hair. So I decided to get the rose gold for brown hair with as my next tub. It definitely gave a bigger color punch but now my hair is FALLING out. There are huge clumps every time I shower or brush my hair. Every morning when I wake up there is a ton of hair on my pillow. I am so concerned. I hope my hair grows back!

Easy to use. Great coverage. And, the Ginger color even fades pretty.
Love my pink & purple for brown hair dye & conditioner! Will never go back!
Great color that doesn’t make my hair feel fried!
Smells minty. Hair kinda felt soft after. But will not work on brown hair. Tried 15min. Tried an hour. Don’t bother.
I had a client come in wanting to go blonde and I could see that there was some leftover pigment in her hair and she said she had done overtone during quarantine, we did a stand test on her and it lightened to green from when she had blue overtone almost a year before. Just a warning to doesn't completely wash out if you want to get something done in a professional salon.

I was looking for something to help me get through to the transition to letting my natural beautiful silver hair grow out that was temporary color with no harsh chemicals. When I found Overtone, I thought it was the perfect solution. I took the quiz and I ordered samples of the three different brown colors to be on the safe side to do strand tests. I did test strands on my hair making sure the strands had white, gray and brown hair in each strand test. I decided to go with the chocolate brown color - it was a nice rich brown and my white hairs took the color well - a golden brown. I ordered two tubs (plus two of the conditions for maintenance) and was so excited for them to arrive. I applied the Overtone for and left it on for the recommended time. When I washed it out it turned my hair orange! I have now washed my hair 10 times and tried blue shampoo and conditioner and it has only made my hair more orange! I ordered the espresso color thinking that would help, but thankfully I read the reviews before I tried it - it will only make things worse! I hope I can return it. I now have to dye my hair ash brown to see if I can get out the orange. My hair was in great condition before this! I hadn’t dyed my hair in a year so it was super healthy, but now it feels like straw. I am so upset!
Update: I just submitted a ticket asking for a full refund on the 4 orders - the order for the samples, the order for the chocolate brown, the order for the espresso brown, and the order for the blue toner. I will update once I know what Overtone plans to do to make this right.
IT WILL NOT COME OUT OF MY HAIR! I have never had a “semi permanent” hair color like this take control of my life. But I hated it from the beginning, the ginger is not ginger it is bright orange. Awful. Now I’m stuck with it
I’ve been using a variety of overtone colors for a few years now. I’ve continually had an issue with permanent undertones. After about 5 weeks of using the chocolate brown overtone products, I went to get my hair professionally done. I got a reverse bayalage for dark roots and a bayalage into blonde. Guess what? My hair is a disaster. When looks more in-depth into the ingredients of the over tone products, I realized the “semi permanent” dies are a mess and mix of “basic” dyes. So now my dark brown has orange undertones and my blonde has green undertones. I went back to the stylist and got two more toning treatments and it’s still a wreck. Honestly considering shaving my head. I applaud your marketing team overtone. The product looks stellar on social media. Not until you’ve ruined a head of hair do people realize the truth.
Wish I would've came on this prior , I used the pastel silver on my already light blonde hair and it turned it this ugly ! Green dark gray color I had to come back to salon to fix it and left my hair pink I don't get how that was possible . Ruined my hair color will never use again
